Spend your summer at Media Theatre! We offer six two-week sessions with a final showcase every other Friday. Ages between 6-15 are welcome. Your kids will learn how to sing, act, and dance. Hours are from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday. Camp Media Theatre consists of two types of camps.

  • Summer Concert Camp: Where campers devise a performance around a specific theme.

  • Summer Performance Camp: Where every camper arrives on the first day to audition for a specific show. Parts are given out and rehearsal starts right away.

    Regardless of which camp is right for your child, each camp provides performance opportunities for all.

    Drop-off will begin at 9:30 a.m. every morning, with camp beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Before care is available starting at 8:00 a.m. 

    Pick-up is at 4:00 p.m.

    After care is available until 5:00 PM. While there is no additional fee for before and after-care, we ask that you register if you intend to use this program. Please note that no formal instruction will occur outside of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and campers should bring items to work on independently.

Also included in your camp tuition is a pizza party for the campers, a camp T-shirt, an invitation for parents to attend an invite-only dress rehearsal at 4:00 PM on the final Friday of Camp before the final performance, and a discount on Fall acting and Dance classes at The Media Theatre.

It is recommended that participants receive the latest Covid-19 vaccination/booster. If your child is feeling sick, they should stay at home and not attend camp until they are well again. Please note, The Media Theatre may choose to increase safety measures and requirements for participants (including mandatory mask-wearing) if
The Covid-19 community level in Delaware county increases to yellow or red.

 CAMP 2025

  • Camp 1: Jungle Book Kids June 16th - June 27th Performance  - $875

    A Musical Theatre intensive camp for actors 6-15 years old ready to hit the stage in a more extended performance! Campers will prepare The Jungle Book Kids and perform live on the Media Theatre stage! Actors will immerse themselves in the theater world with audition technique classes, rehearsal etiquette instruction, and the preparation of the show. This two-week camp will begin with each camper participating in an audition process for the show. Each camper will be cast in the show and receive a script. Week one will focus on learning choreography, music, and blocking. In week two, the campers will focus on memorization while putting the production on its feet with costumes, props and full theatrical elements. There will be one ticketed performance of the production on the final Friday of camp, which will be open to the public.

    No camp on June 19th.

  • Camp 2: Broadway Bound June 30th - July 11th - $750

    Kids ages 6- 12 years old rule the stage in this camp, exploring Broadway musical favorites from ANNIE to MATILDA and beyond! Students will learn three songs and three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on Broadway classics and performed on our very own stage. *All campers must have completed a full day kindergarten or preschool program to attend this camp.

    No Camp on July 4th. 

  • Camp 3: Elf Jr. July 14th - July 25th Performance - $875

    A Musical Theatre intensive camp for actors 6-15 years old ready to hit the stage in a more extended performance! Campers will prepare Elf Jr. and perform live on the Media Theatre stage!   • Camp 4: Fables and Fairytales July 28th - Aug. 8th - $750

    Your 6-12 year old’s favorite characters take the stage in this camp filled with magical adventures! Heroes & Villains will meet in this new mixed-up fairytale featuring songs from beloved films & musicals.  Students will learn three songs, and three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on fables and fairytales. *All campers must have completed a full day kindergarten or preschool program to attend this camp. 

  • Camp 5: 101 Dalmatians Kids Aug. 11th - 22nd - $875

    A Musical Theatre intensive camp for actors 6-15 years old ready to hit the stage in a more extended performance! Campers will prepare 101 Dalmatians Kids and perform live on the Media Theatre stage!   • Camp 6: Movie Musicals Aug. 25th - 29th- $400

    Does your 6-12 years olds love movie musicals like Encanto and Wicked? This week, campers will sing and dance to the best musical soundtracks from the movies.  Students will learn three songs, and three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on fables and fairytales. *All campers must have completed a full day kindergarten or preschool program to attend this camp. 

PLAY IN A DAY CAMPS

Day camps: Write a play in a day! The Media Theatre offers day camps throughout the school year to engage your students artistic talents on days they typically have off school. Our next day camp is on February 17th, 2025 from 10:00AM- 4:00PM. Students will be divided into groups by age and guided through the process of script writing. This day will culminate in a video taped performance that will be provided to all of the parents.
